Grizzly River Run Closed for Refurbishment - Disney California Adventure

Grizzly River Run Closes For Annual Refurbishment at Disney California Adventure

Grizzly River Run closed this week for its annual refurbishment. On Monday, guests visiting the Disneyland Resort found this attraction closed and walled off when they passed by Grizzly Peak. This is a fairly common occurrence this time of year, as the weather isn’t overly conducive to riding a water attraction.

Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by Disney California Adventure on Monday morning and grabbed the following photos of the closed Grizzly River Run. It is interesting to note that the rafts are placed on the path that runs behind/through the attraction this year. Generally, they are moved backstage. The rafts may be in this location this year due to construction happening elsewhere around the Disneyland Resort.

As is generally the case when Grizzly River Run closes, the water level over near San Fransokyo is much higher. Steven also grabbed this photo of the higher water level.

At this point, there isn’t a reopening date for Grizzly River Run. It would be unsurprising if the attraction is closed for a month or two and then opens before spring break.
