February 8th is a big day at the Disneyland Resort. Disney California Adventure will be celebrating its 25 years since it first officially opened its guests. With this, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be debuting new outfits that are inspired by the golden dreams of the opening day of the park. Soarin’ Over California will be making a return for a limited time in the park as well. On top of that, there will be merchandise, food, and a must-have novelty that will be available in the park. Many of these offerings will begin on February 6, 2026.
The park won’t be the only place that will be celebrating, however. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will also be celebrating its 25th anniversary. The grand opening of this beautiful hotel on February 8, 2001. This was after it first began welcoming guests on January 2, 2001. The hotel has only grown bigger and more beautiful since. In 2009, the hotel expanded with the Disney Vacation Club resort, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
On January 6, 2026, it will see the reopening of Napa Rose. This comes after the restaurant has been closed for months being refreshed. When it reopens, not only will it have more offerings throughout the restaurant, it will also have a delicious new menu. Read more about it here.
On the same day that Napa Rose reopens, Storytellers Cafe will see the debut of Humphrey the Bear. This is the first time that this mischievous bear has made an appearance in the Disney Parks. Although, he did inspire Humphrey’s Service & Supplies at Disney California Adventure.
For collectors, there is a limited edition 25th anniversary pin! This will pay tribute to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It is already available and will continue to be as long as supplies last. Guests can find it at the Acorns Gifts and Goods shop. The pin depicts Chip ‘n’ Dale striking a playful pose in front of the hotel’s Craftsman-style facade. The pin is presented on a backer card that is inspired by the hotel’s signature architectural and artistic elements. This is a must have for anyone who loves this hotel, is a pin collector, or simply is a Disney fan!
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is a special place at the Disneyland Resort. It allows guests to enjoy views inside the park from the comfort of their own rooms. It also has the easiest access to Disney California Adventure of any hotel. On top of all of that, it has delicious restaurants, magical music entertainment, character dining, and a whole lot more. It truly is a magical place to visit and stay at the Disneyland Resort.
