All aboard as the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour has returned to Disneyland Park. Train enthusiasts and fans of the Disneyland Railroad will definitely enjoy this tour, as it was Walt’s love of trains that helped inspire Disneyland and his backyard railroad at his home in the Hombly Hills. The Carolwood Pacific gave him many happy hours. “I suppose I’ve always been in love with trains,” Walt Disneyonce wrote. Plus, Walt was inspired to create Mickey Mouse on a train ride from New York City to Los Angeles.
On this guided tour, you’ll be able to get a look into Walt Disney’s love for trains and discover the impact it had on the Disneyland Resort. On this eye-opening, 90-minute tour sure to delight both Disneyland fans and railroad enthusiasts alike, you’ll take a journey to discover Walt Disney’s passion for trains, and ride in the Presidential Car of the Disneyland Railroad, the Lilly Belle.
During the tour, you will be able to snack on a delight and enjoy a sweet treat to steam power your journey through Disneyland Park. Plus, step into the past as you walk through the park, listening to stories about where the idea behind Walt’s train creations first started. Understand the impact trains had on Walt Disney’s dreams, from animation and film all the way to the theme parks.
As a bonus during your guided tour, you will climb aboard Disneyland Railroad’s special Presidential Car, the Lilly Belle. Take the scenic route along the Rivers of America to see landscapes inspired by 4 of America’s majestic rivers: the Mississippi, the Columbia, the Missouri, and the Rio Grande. Each is carefully recreated, complete with indigenous rock formations, natural forests, wildlife, and 5 picturesque waterfalls. Riding in the Lilly Belle is dependent on weather and availability.
Guests on the tour will also have the opportunity to take advantage of a special opportunity to interact with a train engineer and hear about the unique relationships they have with the Disneyland trains.
As your tour concludes, you will also receive a memento to remember your tour and one Lightning Lane entry to a select attraction in included in your tour.

Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance and are highly recommended. Same-day bookings up to 20 minutes before the tour can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability. Guests should check in 15 minutes before their reservation time at the check-in location—Tour Gardens on Main Street, U.S.A. Each person in the party must be present upon check-in. Late arrivals may not be able to join the guided tour. Please be prepared to present your reservation confirmation, photo ID, and the credit card provided at the time of booking. Guests utilizing wheelchairs must be able to transfer from their mobility device to a wheelchair provided at the attraction.
The cost of the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour is $145 per person (tax not included), and is subject to availability.
