It’s the most wonderful time of the year! This wonderful time of the year is being made even more magical by Walt Disney World cast members and other guests who came together through the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive for Central Florida families. This is in support of Toys for Tots. So far this year, cast members and guests have donated over 25,000 toys for families in Orange, Osceola, Polk, Lake, and Seminole Counties.
For over 75 years, Disney has partnered with Toys for Tots. This was a partnership that began with Walt Disney himself. He had hisanimators design the iconic train logo that is still in use today. This set the foundation for a tradition of giving that continues today. This can be seen through the Disney VoluntEARS program. In this case, Disney VoluntEARS bring Disney magic from Walt Disney World to Central Florida families in need.
As can be seen in the video above, Stitch from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch also participated in these efforts. This is a part of a global mission that Stitch is a part of as he aspires to be on Santa’s nice list. For this initiative, Stitch joined Disney VoluntEARS and local Marines at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex to sort and count toys that will make their way to Central Florida homes this holiday season.
