Disneyland Paris Rivers of the Far West to Get Updates Inspired by Disney Legend Marc Davis

While a lot of the focus at Disneyland Paris has been on what will be called Disney Adventure World starting on March 29, 2026, there are other exciting things going on in the original park. Along with announcements about what will be coming to Disney Adventure World, Disneyland Paris revealed some other new things that will be happening. One of the updates will be in Frontierland, specifically in the Rivers of the Far West.

Disneyland Paris announced that by the end of the summer of 2026, there will be an enhanced experience at Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing. This will include new scenes that will be added along the route of Rivers ofthe Far West. These new scenes are going to be inspired by the original drawings of Imagineer and Disney Legend Marc Davis. Concept art of these scenes was shared by Disneyland Paris and can be seen here:

When guests float by these new scenes, they will see new figures populating the banks. This includes a buffalo on the prairie. There will also be some adorable raccoons and a skunk found on a floating log. These have been specially redesigned and produced for the project by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams.

Another exciting update for the Rivers of the Far West is the recently renovated Molly Brown riverboat. This will give guests the perfect vessels to see the updates when they arrive at the end of the next summer.
