Disney is shaking up the release schedule for several of its movies in the next couple of years. As moviegoers gear up for 2026, Disney revealed that in both 2026 and 2027, some films are getting new release dates. Below is a look at the changes that are coming in the coming years.
2026 Release Updates
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come
The Searchlight Pictures film, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, is moving up from April 10 to March 27, 2026.
Logline: Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. The Dog Stars
The sci-fi thriller from Ridley Scott with Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Guy Pearce, Margaret Qualley, and Benedict Wong is getting pushed back from March 28 to August 28, 2026.
Logline: In a post-apocalyptic world, a virus wipes out humanity. Survivors face roaming scavengers called Reapers. Protagonist Hig, a pilot, survived the flu but lost his wife.
2027 Release Updates
Gatto
This Pixar film takes place in Italy and is directed by Enrico Casarosa. It will be moved from June 18, 2027, to March 5, 2027.
Logline: Indebted to a feline mob boss, a black cat named Nero finds himself forced to forge an unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose.
