On this day in 1965, the very first issue of the ‘Disney News’ was published, the Winter 1965-1966 edition. The first cover featured Walt Disney in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle surrounded by Mickey Mouse and his storybook friends. The quarterly magazine for Magic Kingdom Club members included details about Disneyland and happenings around the Disney Company. The publication changed names to the ‘Disney Magazine’ in 1994 and was discontinued in 2005. [60 years ago in 2025]
