It was a very rainy first day of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort on Friday, November 14, 2025. As the rain came down, the spirit of the season could be felt in both parks. Whether this was, as people enjoyed hot cocoa with a gingerbread man, the carolers singing in the Fantasyland Theater, or cosy sweaters being purchased at the Emporium, there was a spirit of joy that could be felt in the parks.

The weather definitely impacted some of the offerings of the day. Storybook Land Canal Boats, with its new Rapunzel’s Tower, was open and closed throughout the day. The same could be said for other attractions that can be impacted by weather. Most of the outdoor entertainment during the day was also cancelled. This included one of the most popular offerings each year, the A Christmas Fantasy parade. As the rain continued to come down, an announcement was made that the first parade would be replaced with the Mickey’s Holiday Cavalcade, more commonly known as the rainy day cavalcade. This cavalcade is made up of three Main Street Vehicles that are packed with Disney characters from the parade, and also Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and a couple of elves. The following was the first cavalcade that was offered during the 2025 Holidays at the Disneyland Resort season.

Following the first cavalcade, the rain did stop for a while. This allowed the Daps Magic team to experience the new updates to Storybook Land Canal Boats. Shortly after getting off this attraction, it began again. Once again, the announcement was made that there would be Mickey’s Holiday Cavalcade. As the water glistened on the ground with the glowing reflection of it’s a small world Holiday, the cavalcade made its way through Disneyland once again. Here is a look at that cavaclade:

At this point, there is more rain on the horizon for Southern California. It is very possible that this rainy day cavalcade will be seen more times in the coming days.
