Rapunzel's Tower in Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland

Disneyland Resort Reveals First Look at Rapunzel’s Tower on Storybook Land Canal Boats

Ahead of the reopening of the Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland, Disney has revealed a first look at the new addition to the attraction. With the reopening of this attraction comes the addition of Rapunzel’s Tower from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Tangled. This first look comes ahead of the reopening of this attraction on November 14, 2025. This is the same day that the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort begins this year. The following photos were shared by Disney showcasing this additional story to this classic attraction.

A new miniature version of Rapunzel’s Tower from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Tangled” is the latest addition to Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland park in Anaheim, Calif., beginning Nov. 14, 2025. Debuting during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, this addition joins the picturesque realm of miniature homes, villages and castles from favorite fairytales. Previously, concept art for this addition had been shared by Disney. The concept art depicts the new tower, which is clearly recognizable as Rapunzel’s Tower, featuring a shingled turret and several windows high above the ground, allowing Rapunzel to look out and dream. The area around it includes meticulously cared-for flora to complete the scenes. This will make for a lush green oasis among the boulders that surround Rapunzel’s home.

Beyond Rapunzel’s tower, guests will be able to look closely as they float by and see posters that are seeking out Flynn Rider dotting the stone wall. Look even closer and notice that even these posters can’t get Flynn’s nose right. Each poster will have a different depiction of Flynn’s nose.

Further down, there is a secluded dock with a boat inspired by the one in the film. It is just waiting for Rapunzel and Flynn Rider to come and go for a cruise. The dock is framed with twinkling lights that wind up a trellis of the Casey Jr. Circus Train bridge. The dock can’t be seen in the two photos that were shared by Disney, but the plants growing up the trellis can.

As guests float by this scene during the day, the music of When Will My Life Begin? will be heard coming from Rapunzel’s Tower. In the evening, I See the Light will be heard as the Storybook Land Canal Boats float by.

Along with the photos, Disney shared the following video on social media as well:

Daps Magic will be sure to film this attraction during the day and night to get both iterations of this part of the attraction once it is open. What do you think of what you are seeing so far?
