Over the weekend, Las Vegas received a heavy dose of Disney magic during the Las Vegas Grand Prix thanks to the Fuel the Magic collaboration with Formula 1. Throughout the weekend, this highly anticipated kick-off delivered exciting Disney character moments, thrilling entertainment, and an elevated merchandise collection to Formula 1 fans. Some of the highlights for Fuel the Magic included:









- Maestro Mickey Mouse took to the stage in front of the Fountains of Bellagio for a special performance for the first time. Disney Live Entertainment brought this show, which wowed fans with Mickey Mouse, the beautiful fountains, thrilling pyrotechnics, choreographed drones, and the incredible score of Disney’s Fantasia and the Formula 1 theme song.








- Formula 1 drivers Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly from BWT Alpine, and Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon from MoneyGram Haas, met ultimate racing superfans Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto on the grid, and showed off pieces from the Disney × Formula 1 collection.







- Sam Worthington, from the upcoming film Avatar: Fire and Ash, posed with Mickey & Friends.



- Disney and Formula 1 Fuel the Magic graphics came to life on the iconic Sphere throughout the race weekend.





- The Disneyland Band helped kick off the race day festivities as Disneyland continues to celebrate 70 years of happiness. The band performed the national anthem alongside musician and actor Adrian Lyle.






- Bobby Kim, founder of The Hundreds and Vice President of Creative for the Americas at Disney Consumer Products, joined the race weekend excitement, highlighting the exclusive Disney x Formula 1 collection being sold on Disney Store and on-site at the F1 Las Vegas Hub at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas.









- Fans who had purchased Fuel the Magic tickets joined Mickey & Friends for an exclusive Pit Lane walk with photo opportunities and a behind-the-scenes look at Formula 1 pit crews at work.
The Fuel the Magic collaboration isn’t over after this weekend. Instead, it continues through the 2026 and 2027 seasons at select races around the world. Fans will be able to experience the thrill of Formula 1 through Disney’s signature creativity, innovation, and magic throughout this collaboration. From exclusive behind-the-scenes content to imaginative storytelling, it will introduce digital experiences designed to connect fans around the world to the excitement of race weekends.
