This is a holiday that is celebrated on November 17, the day it was first introduced to the world with the release of the Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978. In recent years, Life Day has been celebrated at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland with merchandise, food, and impromptu celebrations from fans. This year, Chewbacca will be donning his Life Day robes to join the celebration.
In a post on social media, Disneyland and Star Wars announced that Chewbacca will be appearing for Life Day celebrations at Disneyland starting on November 17, 2025. At this point, it isn’t known how long Chewbacca will be around for Life Day at Disneyland. He will also be appearing during Disney Jollywood Nights Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Life Day. This is a hard-ticket event that takes place after normal operating hours. Tickets can be purchased on the Walt Disney World website.
