Last year, A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel! debuted on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure during the holiday season. This year, this heartwarming street show has returned for Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. This musical celebration of the holidays takes place in Carthay Circle with music provided by the Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland during the performance that is led by singer Carlos. They are also joined by dancers who add extra vibrance to the performance.
During the show, several favorite Christmas songs are sung by Carlos, who invites those who are watching to join. The songs are sung in both Spanish and English. The show builds to the arrival of Miguel from Pixar’s Coco to join and perform Un Poco Loco from Coco, and then the show wraps up with the singing of Silent Night. With candles in hand, this makes for a beautiful ending to this heartfelt and interactive show.
A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel! is a simple show but has plenty of heart. This is a popular show because it captures the spirit of the season. Some favorite Christmas songs are sung together to celebrate the season together with a touch of Disney magic included. This show connects with children and the child at heart in a way that is reminiscent of classic Christmas celebrations from days gone by. It really shouldn’t be missed.
Speaking of not missing this show. It is only presented Monday through Friday at Disney California Adventure. It is not presented on Saturday or Sunday. The specific times can be found in the Disneyland app. Also, if there is rain (like there has been a lot of recently), the show cannot be presented.
