Since August 25, Spaceship Earth has been closed at EPCOT. The iconic attraction has had walls around it as guests enter EPCOT and walk around it. As work has continued on the attraction, the reopening date has been unknown. On its webpage, only the following was posted: “Spaceship Earth will be temporarily closed for a routine refurbishment beginning August 25, 2025, and is planned to reopen later this year.” Now, a reopening has been scheduled.
According to the attractions calendar, Spaceship Earth is scheduled to reopen on October 25, 2025. This will be exactly two months after the attraction closed. At this point, Disney has not shared what specific work has been done as a part of the “routine refurbishment” for the attraction. What is known is that it is not the major update to the attraction that was announced in 2020 and then was cancelled during the pandemic. If it had happened, the attraction would have focused “on the storytelling that brings people together.”
