Disney Adventure Storybook Castle

Storybook Castle Installed in Disney Adventure’s Disney Imagination Garden

A new milestone has been reached as the Disney Adventure gets ready to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet and head to Singapore. The storybook castle has been installed in Disney Imagination Garden aboard this beautiful new ship.

Standing three decks tall, the storybook castle is at the creative heart of the Disney Adventure in Disney Imagination Garden. This is an art piece that is also a first-of-its-kind in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It brings some favorite fairy tales to life for guests to enjoy and take photos with.

This castle was created by Walt Disney Imagineering. Inspiration for the castle came from the other iconic castles that are featured in favorite Disney films and Disney Parks around the world. The castle was created using a paper cut-out style that is reminiscent of a pop-up storybook. It invites guests to step up into their own magical story aboard this massive Disney ship.

The castle also draws inspiration from the spirit of adventure and the sea, coupled with nods to timeless Disney storytelling. The artistic details create a celebration of water for the first Disney castle at sea. This includes a wave pattern surrounding the frame, the rich blues that color the facade, and more.

Just like every other Disney Parks castle around the world, there is the Disney family crest found at the center of the castle. There is also a three-panel stained glass window. In each panel, there is a representation of a Disney heroine and princess. These panels will also include elements of nature that include water, sky, and the heart of Te Fiti from Moana; the sun, earth, and the Sundrop flower from Tangled; and the glistening ice and wind from Frozen.

The castle also has several Easter eggs found throughout its designs, with tributes to Disney traditions. This includes a hidden Mickey. At the base of the storybook castle, there is a waterfall reminiscent of the Walt Disney Pictures castle that is shown before every Disney film.

The Disney Adventure will be taking to see on its maiden voyage in March 2026. The ship has seven themed areas for guests to experience and enjoy. It will be based in Singapore when it joins the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It will offer 3-5 night cruises based out of Singapore. More information about the Disney Adventure can be found here.
