Zootopia 2

Robert Irwin to Voice a Koala Named “Robert Furwin” in ‘Zootopia 2’

Zootopia 2 will be in theaters on November 26, and Robert Irwin is adding his voice to a koala named Robert Furwin. Irwin is an Australian conservationist, television presenter, zookeeper, wildlife photographer, and actor who shares similarities with his late father, Steve Irwin.

Robert Irwin is currently a contestant on the ABC show Dancing With the Stars, announced during Disney Night. Irwin is no stranger to voicing an animated character, as he previously voiced Alfie in an episode of Bluey season two. Irwin shared the announcement in a video shared on social media as he was standing outside the Roy E. Disney Animation Building on the Walt Disney Studios Lot.

In the video, Irwin said, “I am so excited that I am playing a character in the new Zootopia 2 – and not just any character, I’m playing a koala by the name of Robert Furwin, and he is awesome. I just got to watch my scene in the movie, and I cannot wait for all of you to see this. So we will see you in November. Robert Furwin’s coming, so let’s do this.”

In Zootopia 2, detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
