The Walt Disney Family Museum regularly hosts both virtual and in-person events. These events are educational, entertaining, and inspiring. They often have people that currently work or have worked with The Walt Disney Company. They always carry on the legacy of Walt Disney. One of the upcoming virtual talks is with Pixar’s Bobby Podesta. The event is on November 8th and gives the chance to learn about Podesta’s three decade career at Pixar and also about his new graphic novel North for the Winter. This is a free event but registration is required. The official details about North for the Winter: A Journey from Animated Movies to Graphic Novels with Pixar’s Bobby Podesta can be found here:

About the Speaker
Bobby Podesta
Bobby Podesta has been drawing cartoons for as long as he can remember and published his first newspaper comic strip while still in high school. After studying character animation at CalArts, he joined Pixar Animation Studios, where he has contributed as an Animator, Story Artist, Supervising Animator, and Director on many of their beloved films and series. North for the Winter is Podesta’s graphic novel debut and will be published by First Second Books in Fall 2025. He lives in Oakland, California, with his wife, daughter, son, some chickens, a spoiled cat, and a very cute dog. He still draws cartoons every day.
