Knott’s Berry Farm has announced that it is closed today as rain comes down over Southern California. While the park is closed, select locations in the California Marketplace will remain open during the day. The following announcement was posted on Knott’s Berry Farm’s social media:
Due to inclement weather, Knott’s Berry Farm will be closed today, Oct. 14, 2025. Select California Marketplace locations will remain open until 5:00pm. Tickets dated for Oct. 14, 2025, can be used any one daytime public operating day thru Dec. 31, 2025. Not valid for Knott’s Scary Farm.
The practice of closing Knott’s Berry Farm when it rains is a fairly common one. This time, a “significant storm” is hitting Southern California, meteorologists say. Weather predictions have warned of heavy rain and potential debris flows, slick traffic conditions, flooding, or even potentially a tornado. An unconfirmed tornado was reported in Northern California as the storm made its way through the region.
The National Weather Service is forecasting anywhere from three-quarters of an inch to one and a half inches of rain along the coast and valley locations, to two to four inches of rain in the mountains. At the time of this writing, the rain is expected to subside sometime this afternoon. Daps Magic will continue to monitor the rain in Southern California and report on any other impacts it has on theme parks in the region.
