The Disney Destiny is just a couple of weeks out from taking its maiden voyage and joining the Disney Cruise Line fleet. When it does, guests will get to experience the stories of Disney heroes and villains that it is themed to. One of the stories cruisers will experience is Disney Hercules. This will be a Broadway-style show that retells the story of Hercules, which Walt Disney Animation Studios originally brought to the silver screen as an animated musical.

The cast began rehearsals for Disney Hercules earlier this month on the Walt Disney Theatre stage. This is where cruisers will get to see this musical on this stage when the ship takes to sea on its maiden voyage. The cast and crew are working on the finishing touches of the show, including costumes, props, and set pieces, to help bring this adaptation of the animated musical to the stage.

As the maiden voyage draws closer, it is almost time to raise the curtain and reveal the high-fashion costumes, ancient Greece-inspired sets, and state-of-the-art puppetry that will undoubtedly get toes tapping when cruisers board the Disney Destiny and see this show in the Walt Disney Theatre.
