On November 7, 2025, a special two-part event will be coming to Disney+. Called Fire And Water: Making The Avatar Films, this will be an in-depth look at what went into making Avatar: The Way of Water. It will also look at what is coming in Avatar: Fire and Ash. The documentary will include behind-the-scenes footage and also interviews with the people who bring the Avatar movies to life. This includes Disney Legend James Cameron, late producer Jon Landau, and stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, and Kate Winslet.
“I’m going to let you in on a little secret,” Cameron teases in the documentary trailer. “As much as we use computers and technology, ‘Avatar’ is made by an incredibly talented team of people who bring every expression, every emotional beat and the entire world to life.”
