The Walt Disney Family Museum is going to honor Disney Legend Don Hahn. On Tuesday, November 10, 2025, the Academy Award-nominated producer will be given the Diane Disney Miller Lifetime Achievement Award. Hahn will be honored for his outstanding achievements in filmmaking and his longtime support of the museum as a Board Advisory Committee member.

During the evening, Hahn’s career will be celebrated. There will also be special appearances from friends and colleagues. There will also be performances from Oscar-, Grammy-, Tony-, and Golden Globe-winning composer and songwriter, and Disney Legend Alan Menken; critically acclaimed actor and singer Alton Fitzgerald White, best known for playing Mufasa in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway; and world-class vocalist and actor, Juliana Sloan.
This special event will be held in conjunction with the debut of a new special exhibition that is co-curated by Hahn and the museum Director of Collections and Exhibitions, Marina Villar Delgado, Happiest Place on Earth: The Disneyland Story. This exhibition will give a great look behind the scenes of the creation and opening of Disneyland in Anaheim, California, on July 17, 1955. The exhibit will open to the public on Friday, November 14, 2025, in the museum’s Lower Lobby and Theater Galleries.
The Museum shared that proceeds that are raised by the gala and silent auction will “help continue The Walt Disney Family Museum’s initiative to support and inspire the next generation of creative talent – a legacy originally spearheaded by Walt Disney’s daughter and museum co-founder, Diane Disney Miller.”
The Walt Disney Family Museum opened on October 1, 2009. Since then, it has continued to share the story and legacy of Walt Disney. This is done with contemporary, interactive galleries with state-of-the-art exhibits narrated in Walt’s own voice. There are also early drawings, cartoons, films, music, a spectacular model of Disneyland, and more.
