The Disney Cruise Line has been honored by the Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards. This year, Disney was named the #1 Large Ship Cruise Line.
The accolade was given after 757,109 votes were tallied for the 38th annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey. Readers of Condé Nast Traveler shared their opinions on a wide range of travel topics. The survey covered a wide range of travel topics, including the best cruises in the world.
The Disney Cruise Line was named #1 Large Ship Cruise Line for multiple reasons. First off is hospitality. The survey highlighted that Disney has taken what it learned from its parks and resorts and implemented those lessons into its fleet of ships. Condé Nast Traveler also noted that the ships are designed for families with numerous activities every day. This includes meet-and-greets to full-blown parties with Disney characters. There are also adults-only activities. This creates the opportunity for everyone to have a magical voyage.

Currently, the Disney Cruise Line fleet sails the Bermuda and Bahamas (where they make port at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay), as well as Alaska, Canada, Europe, the Pacific Coast, and the Panama Canal. The Disney Treasure joined the fleet in late 2024, and the Disney Destiny will debut in November 2025 with the theme of “heroes and villains.” Other ships in the fleet include the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Magic, and Disney Wonder.
The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards have an unmatched legacy in the travel industry as the longest-running and most prestigious accolades from readers. This remains the ultimate symbol and acknowledgement of excellence within the travel sector.
