When the Disney Destiny takes to sea later this fall, it will be full of adventures that celebrate the theme of heroes and villains. This theme won’t just found in shows and decorations. It will carry on into the various culinary experiences found on this beautiful ship. Some of these culinary experiences will include some pretty incredible drinks in its lounges.
During Destination D23 this last weekend, some specialty drinks at three lounges aboard the Disney Destiny were highlighted. They really were incredible, if not magical… quite literally. During a Disney Eats panel, drinks from the Disney Destiny were showcased. This culinary demonstration was really more of a magic show as these drinks came to life in front of the gathered Disney fans. Below is a look at the drinks that were revealed at Destination D23 for the Disney Dream. They come from The Sanctum, Haunted Mansion Parlor, and Cask & Cannon. Read the descriptions of the drinks and the lounges they can be found in on the Disney Destiny here:
Mirror Dimension at The Sanctum
Made with Stoli Elit Vodka, Lychee, Fresh Lemon Juice, Pink Peppercorn, and Eletricdust Buzz Rock, this mesmerizing cocktail will touch all your senses with a special glass that reacts to touch, and an electrifying dust that will leave your taste buds tingling.
Step into The Sanctum
Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the mystical world of Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange, this centrally located sanctuary is filled with enchanted artifacts designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world, creating an atmosphere brimming with magic and mystery.
Enjoy a captivating selection of cocktails and coffees while taking in unique touches from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, like the iconic circular mirror behind the bar that echoes the famed window of the Sanctum itself, the Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj.
The Chilling Challenge: My Way at Haunted Mansion Parlor
The popular drink of the same name on the Disney Treasure will feature all-new ingredients on the Disney Destiny, including Camus VSOP Cognac, Cointreau Noir, Joto Yuzu Sake, Orange Blossom Foam, and Edible Viola Flowers.
Enter the Haunted Mansion if You Dare
As you step into the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, you’ll find a classic cruise liner’s drawing room filled with ghostly intrigue.
On the Disney Destiny, sip on an all-new menu of expertly crafted ghostly cocktails and mocktails while admiring a gallery of haunted portraits… and enjoy interactive surprises that bring these wandering souls to life. The parlor itself holds secrets tied to a jovial sea captain and his enigmatic fiancé, inviting curious guests to unravel the mystery hidden within its walls.
Ye Be Invited to the Cask & Cannon
We’re sharing a brand-new look inside Cask & Cannon, a lively themed tavern aboard the Disney Destiny, inspired by the legendary Pirates of the Caribbean attractions around the globe. This eclectic pub is filled with “acquired” treasures from mischievous pirates of old, creating an atmosphere where every corner tells a tale.
Swap seafaring stories, catch live sports, and enjoy light bites, vintage rums, and exclusive “bootlegged” brews, served straight from the barrel, of course. Whether you’re a rogue or a rum-lover, Cask & Cannon is the perfect port of call.
Dead Man’s Chest at Cask & Cannon
This new beverage experience for two will include drinks that capture the true spirit of a pirate’s life on the high seas. Made with Zacapa 23 Solera Rum, Pineapple, Lime Juice, Agave Nectar, and Coconut Froth, this cocktail will fully immerse you in the cozy ship’s cabin atmosphere of Cask & Cannon – complete with gold coins!
As is so often the case with Disney magic, these really need to be seen and experienced first hand. No picture, video, or description will really capture the experience of seeing these drinks come to life in front of your very eyes! The Mirror Dimension, in particular, was incredible to see!
