Closing Date DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Revealed

Just a day after the closure of The Boneyard at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the closing date of DINOSAUR was revealed. On the Walt Disney World website, the following announcement can now be found:

The last day to experience DINOSAUR is February 1. The attraction will close permanently on February 2 to make way for Tropical Americas. Read the Disney Parks Blogto learn more.

The attraction is closing to be transformed into a new adventure with Indiana Jones for guests to enjoy. The entire area is being transformed into the Tropical Americas. When complete it will include an Encanto attraction along with the attraction based on Indiana Jones. Here is a look at the attraction:

Travel back in time on a perilous prehistoric race to rescue a dinosaur—before the meteor strikes.

A Race Against Time

A paleontologist recruits you for a secret mission to bring a 3.5-ton Iguanodon back to the present. There’s just one problem—the giant meteor that wiped out life on Earth is on the way! 

Board a rugged Time Rover vehicle and set off on a thrilling adventure through a primeval forest filled with life-like dinosaurs. Careen through unpredictable hairpin turns. Dart around a fearsome Velociraptor hunting for prey. Avoid the clutches of a Cearadactylus soaring overhead!

As the clock counts down, fiery meteors crash down around you. Will you make your escape before the dinosaurs—and you—become extinct?
