On Friday, Disney Jr. kicked off Disney Jr. Let’s Play! at Disney California Adventure. Along with being filled with lots of Disney Jr. characters and magical moments, there were also quite a few announcements made during this event. One of the announcements was about Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends. This is a new series that is coming to Disney Jr. and then Disney+ in 2027. This will be the first Avengers series for preschoolers.
This new series will grow out of the new Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends series (which premieres on August 11th on Disney Jr., before arriving on Disney+ the following day). Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends will introduce kid versions of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. This includes Iron Man (Tony Stark), Captain America (Steve Rogers), Hulk (Bruce Banner), Black Panther (T’Challa), Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff), and Thor. This team will work together to be their best selves while also facing off against some classic Super Baddies.
Along with announcing the new series during Disney Jr. Let’s Play!, it was announced that there are two new 22-minute specials in the works. They will unite Iron Man and the Avengers with Spider-Man from the hit series Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends.

The first special will be premiering on October 16th on Disney Jr., followed by Disney+. This will see Iron Man and the Avengers joining forces with Spidey to stop Ultron and the Green Goblin from taking control of the city’s devices. A second Halloween-themed special will premiere in the fall of 2026.
At Disney Jr. Let’s Play!, Spider also made an appearance in a cavalcade that kicked off the day’s events. He later met with excited guests throughout the day.
