The Disney Destiny is no longer in the Meyer Werft Shipyard. Instead, it is now just outside in the harbor. This came after the ship floated out of its former home, where it was built. The moment was full of excitement. Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots led the way as the ship backed out of the dry dock where it had been built. Minnie, dressed in her new Super Hero outfit, was on hand to greet this beautiful ship that is heroes and villains themed.

The Float Out on August 9th marked a significant and traditional milestone for the Disney Destiny. This is when a ship takes to water for the first time. Work will continue on the Disney Destiny ahead of her maiden voyage on November 20, 2025. The ship will set sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale in Florida. It will then celebrate its inaugural cruise season with 4- and 5-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean.
Heroic and Villainous Experiences
The ship will be full of incredible experiences that bring to life the stories of both heroes and villains from the worlds of Disney, Marvel, and Pixar. This will include immersive dining experiences with themes such as The Lion King. Guests can enjoy an incredible piano lounge themed to Cruella De Vil and even the Broadway-style Disney Hercules. There will be many other entertainment options, dining, and shopping opportunities. A new villain storyline for the AquaMouse water attraction will be included, along with other experiences for guests aboard this ship. To top it all off, there will be no shortage of Disney characters found on the ship.

Joining a Growing Fleet
When it sets sail in November 2025, the Disney Destiny will become the seventh ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It will join the Disney Magic (maiden voyage in 1998), the Disney Wonder (maiden voyage in 1999), the Disney Dream (maiden voyage in 2011), the Disney Fantasy (maiden voyage in 2012), the Disney Wish (maiden voyage in 2022), and the Disney Treasure (December 2024). Moreover, the Disney Adventure will join the fleet in December 2025.
