Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Imagineering have revealed that construction has begun on Elsa’s Ice Palace in what will be Disney Adventure World. Disneyland Paris shared the following photo of Elsa’s Ice Palace taking shape at Disney Adventure World:
The following description was shared for the photo:
It’s a big day for the Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams: the great North Mountain, whose 36-meter-high peak is the highest point of World of Frozen, is finally welcoming Elsa’s Ice Palace! This one-of-a-kind castle is a faithful replica of the one Elsa, whose “soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around”, magically creates during the iconic Let It Go scene.
Elsa’s Ice Palace stands approximately 13 meters tall. This is around 42-43 feet! It was designed and assembled in the United Kingdom. Then, it was transported to France so that it could be placed atop the North Mountain. The palace is made of thirty interconnected pieces, and it weighs 15 tons. Once it is complete, this beautiful blue palace will overlook the Kingdom of Arendelle. The towers on the palace are embedded with ice crystals. These are made up of more than 300 Swarovski crystals. This will make this a beautiful icon in the World of Frozen both during the day and also at night.
Guests will be able to visit the World of Frozen at Disney Adventure World in 2026. This will be when the transformation of Walt Disney Studios to Disney Adventure World is completed.
