The third and last verse of it’s a small world debuted on July 17, 2025 at Disneyland. The verse was written by Disney Legend Richard Sherman. The verse also is now found in the Walt Disney World version of the attraction.

One of the Sherman Brothers who wrote the original tune, Richard shared it with Disney CEO Bob Iger before he passed in 2024. Along with the third verse appearing in it’s a small world, another version of it can also be heard in the Main Street Cinema at Disneyland on Main Street U.S.A. There, an exhibit called So Much That We Share – A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers is being presented. It includes the short The Last Verse.
