Fantastic Four: First Steps

‘The Fantastic Four” First Steps’ Has Fantastic Opening Weekend

The Fantastic Four: First Steps has had a strong opening weekend, ending a streak of Marvel Studios movies not meeting the mark. The film brought in $118 million domestically through the course of the weekend. Internationally, the film brought in an additional $100 million at the box office. This brings the global total to $218 million. This also puts it slightly ahead of Superman’s $95 million international opening and slightly behind its $220 million haul globally during its debut weekend.

This a welcome return to form for Marvel Studios which has seen its last two movies, Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* both lose money. Before that, Deadpool & Wolverine was a massive billion-dollar hit. However, that hasn’t been the norm in recent years for Marvel.
