Standby Line Now Available for Main Street Opera House at Disneyland

The day after the Opera House reopened with the new Evolution of Dream exhibit and Walt Disney – A Magical Life, it transitioned from only using a virtual queue for access to a standby line. Those with a virtual queue could still utilize it when their number was called.

The news appeared in the Disneyland App on the tip board in the late morning of July 18th. This is 70 years after Disneyland opened to the public. Here is what is seen in the Disneyland App:

When the virtual queue was announced for the Opera House, the Disneyland Resort said it would be utilized as needed. On the opening day of the new attraction and exhibit in the Opera House, there was incredible demand for guests wishing to experience this new offering. It is possible that, as demand dictates, a virtual queue could be implemented again.

More photos of the exhibit and show can be found here. Walt Disney – A Magical Life and Evolution of a Dream opened at Disneyland as part of its 70th birthday celebration. There were also special moments throughout the day, including an exclusive cast member celebration, an opening moment, and a birthday cavalcade. A third verse was also added to its a small world. On Main Street, USA, a new exhibit that is a tribute to the Sherman Brothers opened in the Main Street Cinema.

After its initial run, Walt Disney will share the stage in the Opera House with President Abraham Lincoln. Walt Disney – A Magical Life and Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln will be shown back to back throughout the day when President Lincoln returns.
