The Disney Destiny has taken another step, or swing, closer to entering the Disney Cruise Line fleet later this year. Disney Cruise Line has shared that Spider-Man has been installed, along with Spider-Bots, as the stern characters for this ship. This comes after stern sculptures of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were recently installed on the Disney Adventure.
Walt Disney Imagineering and the Disney Cruise Line shared the following photos of the installation, and then installed stern sculptures on the Disney Destiny.
Setting sail in November 2024, the Disney Destiny is the seventh ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, joining the Disney Magic (maiden voyage in 1998), the Disney Wonder (maiden voyage in 1999), the Disney Dream (maiden voyage in 2011), the Disney Fantasy (maiden voyage in 2012) the Disney Wish (maiden voyage in 2022), the Disney Treasure (December 2024), and the Disney Adventure (2025). This ship is the third Wish-class ship to join the fleet. The ship is themed to Heroes and Villains.
Along with the theme of Heroes and Villains, the Disney Destiny will also have Minnie Mouse debuting a new heroic outfit. In the Grand Hall, guests will get to see a statue of the Black Panther. This looks to be an absolutely stunning ship that will take guests on adventure when it takes to sea later this year.
