Encanto Casa Madrigal Comes to Life

Drawers! Floors! Doors! The Casa Madrigal from Encanto has come to life in a parade for the first time.

It’s completely fantastical and magical as the casita’s windows, floors and roof tiles dance along in a way that’s full of music and rhythm. Be sure you keep an eye out for all the members of Family Madrigal who can be found all throughout the float.

Touches of Hong Kong in the Parade

With a parade that’s made for Hong Kong, it was important to include elements that represent its home throughout. On the opening and finale floats, you’ll notice colorful flowers blossoming. These are inspired by the Bauhinia flower, which represents Hong Kong and can be found on its flag.

As for the Zootopia skyline, inspiration was found just a few miles over in the city of Hong Kong. If you look closely, you’ll see a sign for Lion Rock, which is a mountain that can be found in the city.

There’s also signage for “Cowoon,” which plays off the area of Kowloon and, of course, there’s a bubble tea billboard, which is a well-loved drink by those in Hong Kong.
