On this day in 2008, the “Disney’s Celebrate America – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” fireworks spectacular made its West Coast debut at Disneyland. The patriotic show premiered the day before at Walt Disney World. Running at 15 minutes long, Celebrate America honors the heritage and spirit of the United States with patriotic music, rousing pyrotechnics, and, more recently, stirring projections. As of 2025, the show still runs at Disneyland with updated effects.
