On July 17, 2025, Disneyland celebrated its 70th birthday. The celebration began before the sun came up with a special cast member celebration. Along with some fun surprises for cast members in the morning, there was a cast photo taken:

The morning also included a special moment where the flag was raised in Town Square as the sun rose. At 6:30 AM, Disney CEO Bob Iger was joined by Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro, Disneyland Resort President Thomas Mazloum, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse to open the New York Stock Exchange. This was done by ringing a bell with Main Street, U.S.A., and Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background. Cast members surrounded the two executives and cheered on the milestone moment.

As the park prepared to open and welcome guests for the day. A brief ceremony was held at the entrance in front of the Mickey Mouse floral. Later in the day, there was a cavalcade presented along the parade route to celebrate Disneyland’s 70th birthday. The cavalcade included opening day cast members, a Make-A-Wish kid, the Disneyland Ambassadors, Disneyland Band, Dapper Dans, and of course, Mickey Mouse and friends!

There were many magical moments to experience throughout the day for Disneyland’s 70th birthday. The most special thing, however, was the feelings that could be felt of love and excitement for The Happiest Place on Earth! This day was a celebration of the realization of Walt Disney’s dream for Disneyland that came to life 70 years ago. With the new Walt Disney – A Magical Life now being played at the Opera House, guests can feel even more connected with Walt Disney when they visit Disneyland. This birthday was a very special day, celebrating a very special place that came out of a very special man’s dream.
