Test Track Presented by General Motors has a reopening date! Today, it was announced that the attraction will be reopening at EPCOT on July 22, 2025.
With this reopening, the attraction will feature multiple updates. This includes new scenes that highlight the technology that is “making our cars smarter and our lives more fun.” A new musical score will also be debuting.
One of the new scenes that were shared by Disney involves seeing through the “eyes of a vehicle. This scene will show how vehicles can use advanced cameras and sensors to “see” the world they drive through. Walt Disney Imagineers showcased how this technology works by utilizing over 29,000 points of light. They also released a video that shows how this will work in the attraction with Imagineers Leigh and Cole.
Test Track has traditionally celebrated new and future automotive technology. It’s also been a reminder of what road trips are all about. They are about spending quality time in the company of those who are special while embracing the beauty of the world around us!
This version of Test Track will embrace the beauty of the road trip, even bringing a taste of the Pacific Northwest to EPCOT. A video was released by Walt Disney Imagineering talking about the trees that are being installed in the attraction. It can be seen here:
There is still work to be done ahead of the reopening of Test Track. Walt Disney Imagineers are hard at work finishing the touches and getting the attraction ready to go.
Disney also teased that there will be information coming out about previews in the coming weeks. This includes previews for cast members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak residents, and Club 33 Members ahead of the official reopening of the attraction.
The reopening of Test Track is just one of many exciting things happening at Walt Disney World Resort this summer. Currently, the Cool Kid SUMMER celebration is happening throughout the resort. Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will be opening at Magic Kingdom on July 20, 2025. There are many other experiences to be had throughout the Walt Disney World Resort as well this summer.
