Ray’s Berets opened last year as a part of the transformation of Critter Country to Bayou Country. The shop is themed to Ray, the firefly from The Princess and the Frog. Inside, guests can find hats, caps, and other fun souvenirs. There are also some fun nods to Ray’s story and the movie found inside.
One of the fun details about Ray’s Berets is that the roof is made up of grass! Unfortunately, as the sun got hotter this spring, the grass got less and less happy. A few weeks ago, guests visiting the Disneyland Resort could see that this roof was not handling the heat well. This week, the roof is once again looking lush and green with new grass planted on the roof.
Daps Magic team member Steven noticed the update while at Disneyland on Friday. Check out the photos he took of the roof here:

The attention to details like these is one of the many things that make Disney different. This continues the legacy that Walt Disney started seventy years ago as he focused on the details to make sure that guests would be fully immersed in the magic of the Happiest Place on Earth!
