Walt Disney World Resort is a fantastic place to celebrate the 4th of July. With incredible fireworks at the Magic Kingdom and other offerings throughout the resort, it is a great destination for Independence Day (full updated guide here).
Today, the Disney Parks Blog announced that the Heartbeat of Freedom patriotic tag will be presented on the 4th of July after Luminous: The Symphony of Us. This will blend pyrotechnics and music with tributes to the United States of America.

Also at EPCOT, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale will be dressed in their patriotic best to greet people at the America Pavilion throughout the day. Also at the America Pavilion will be the Voices of Liberty. They will be performing a special performance called Voices of Liberty: Echoing the Sound of America. This will fill the rotunda with beautiful harmonies as they sing patriotic tunes.
While at the America Adventure Pavilion, stay and experience The America Adventure with Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain, taking a look at the history of the United States of America. There is also the Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art, with a diverse collection of traditional and contemporary artistic expressions from 40 different American Indian tribes. Finally, check out Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors. This exhibit, on loan from the George W. Bush Institute, has portraits of service members and veterans who have served in military uniform with honor since 9/11. President Bush painted these oil paintings and has come to know these service members and veterans as he painted the 60 pieces of art that are included in this collection.
From June 29 to July 5, there will also be patriotic snacks to be enjoyed throughout Walt Disney World Resort as well.
