Soarin’ Around the World is a popular attraction in Disney California Adventure that takes guests on a flight to the wonders of the world. One of the destinations of this flight is Paris, France, where guests soar past the Eiffel Tower. For many years, most seats aboard the attraction would see the Eiffel Tower bend as they flew past it. This has now been changed. After being updated first at EPCOT, the updated look at the Eiffel Tower has arrived at the Disneyland Resort.
With this update to Soarin’ Around the World, guests now see that the Eiffel Tower has been straightened out as they fly towards it over the beautiful Parisian skyline. Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by Soarin’ on Wednesday to check out the updated attraction. Check out his video of the attraction with the straightened Eiffel Tower here:
Soarin’ Around the World is one of two versions of this attraction that is offered throughout the year at the Disneyland Resort. During the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, the attraction is shown as Soarin’ Over California. This is the version of the attraction that opened with Disney California Adventure in 2001. In 2016, the Soarin’ Around the World version of the attraction opened at the park. Soarin’ Around the World utilizes a score written by Bruce Broughton, based on the theme created for Soarin’ Over California by Jerry Goldsmith.
