This year, you can celebrate with Disney Consumer Products from all-new collections of toys, collectibles, and apparel that celebrate your favorite Lilo & Stitch characters, available at mass retailers and at the Disney Store. New apparel collections from Cakeworthy and RSVLTS, along with Stitch and Angel Plush from Disney Store Japan, will launch on June 26 exclusively on DisneyStore.com. In addition to the new Disney Store collections, Disney also has highly anticipated launches from partners, including an amazing new animatronic plush from Just Play available for pre-order, a playful new collection from H&M, and a new jewelry collection from Rocklove that you won’t want to miss.
Thanks to his original moniker, “Experiment 626,” June 26 is now known globally as 626 Day to Disney fans. What started organically as a grassroots celebration of Stitch in 2019, when fans began creating content using #626Day, has since been amplified annually by Disney with new product drops, offers, and more. The rise of TikTok and the renewed availability of the film on Disney+ have ensured Stitch remains firmly rooted in the cultural zeitgeist. By 2021, Disney Consumer Products officially embraced the celebration, launching dedicated product and marketing campaigns that acknowledged the fan-driven holiday. Today, 626 Day stands as a key annual moment for the franchise, on par with other fandom observances like May the 4th or Alien Day.
The excitement for 626 Day follows the success of Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch film release, which included a record-breaking Memorial Day Weekend premiere in the US of $183M. Stitch is currently the fastest-growing Brand across the Disney Consumer Products portfolio, and in 2025, Stitch will be a $3B+ brand at retail. On 626 Day, Disney will celebrate this beloved franchise and reflect upon the 23 years of fandom surrounding the brand with new product launches perfect for the whole family.
