On this day in 1915, artist, merchandise developer, and Disney Legend Al Konetzni was born. A self-proclaimed “salesman with a pencil,” Al was responsible for designing Disney toys, clothing, stationery, greeting cards, and jewelry. He is best known for creating a 1976 lunch box set depicting Disney characters riding on a school bus. Over 900 million of them have been sold, and it is now a collector’s item! Al enjoyed a long life, celebrating his 100th birthday at Walt Disney World! [110 years ago in 2025]
