Captain America: New World Order is now available for digital download from online retailers. In this film, Sam Wilson is now Captain America and is keeping busy in this role. However, he isn’t exactly working within the system. He’s just helping it. When the President of the United States invites him to the White House and there is an attempted assassination, Sam finds himself in the middle of a plot that goes well beyond what initially was believed.

Quality
The quality of Captain America: New World Order is exactly what one would expect from Marvel Studios. It looks good. It sounds awesome. There are some incredible and stunning visual effects. The sound effects that accompany them are equally impressive. There are a couple of moments where my eyebrow went up, but for the most part, this was really well done. The soundtrack to the film isn’t as memorable as some scores in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it also doesn’t really do anything wrong. Overall, the quality of this film is solid.

Extras
There are several extras included with this release. They take a look at the film, the role of Captain America, and a little bit more. In general, they are decent bonus features, but my biggest complaint is that I wish there were more. The extras that are included, however, are definitely worth watching.

Final Thoughts
Captain America: Brave New World is an enjoyable enough film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is better than several recent films. It definitely isn’t Marvel’s greatest, though. It sadly suffers from its own marketing, which gave away too much. It also doesn’t seem to really find its footing until the last third of the movie. I really did like the addition of Harrison Ford as President Ross. There are also some other fun characters that are stepping into the MCU that I really enjoyed, mainly Captain Joaquín Torres.
For fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is a film that should be watched just to keep up with the bigger picture of the MCU. For the casual viewer, it might be hit or miss. I’ll give this film a hat nod. It wasn’t great, it wasn’t bad. I did find myself wishing for more, however.
