On this day in 1995, the Penny Arcade, the House of Magic shop, and the Main Street Bookstore closed on Main Street, U.S.A. in Walt Disney World. All three were opening day offerings and are remembered fondly. The Penny Arcade had vintage mechanical games that guests could play. The House of Magic held fantastical monster masks and magic tricks of all kinds. Their closing made way for the Main Street Athletic Company store and later the Emporium. [30 years ago in 2025]
