This celebration will include new entertainment, decor, food, merchandise, and even some updates to attractions. This includes it’s a small world at Disneyland which will receive some new characters inside it, along with a third verse to the iconic song.
Over at Disney California Adventure, Toy Story Midway Mania will be receiving some magical updates for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. The Pixar Pier attraction will be receiving some magical nods to the 70th anniversary. Concept art for what this could look like was shared by Disney:

History of the Attraction
Toy Story Midway Mania opened at Disney California Adventure in what was then Paradise Pier on June 17, 2008. It is a 4-D attraction with multiple games that guests play as they make their way through. Five mini-games are experienced by guests as they make their way through the attraction. Each game includes at least one Easter Egg that can trigger additional targets or change the gameplay. The mini-games are:
- Pie Throw Practice Booth
- Hamm & Eggs
- Rex and Trixie’s Dino Darts
- Green Army Men Shoot Camp
- Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers
- Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery
Guest’s scores are recorded as they play and then displayed on the dashboard of the ride vehicle and then on a screen at the end of the attraction. The highest scores are highlighted throughout the day.
The attraction has seen updates before. In 2010, Bo Peep’s Baaa-loon Pop was replaced by Rex and Trixie’s Dino Darts with the arrival of Toy Story 3.
