With the 1980 card, we now commence a five-year cycle of fortieth-anniversary cards that celebrate Disneyland anniversaries. Disneyland’s Silver Anniversary was the biggest commemoration since the Tencennial that had been presided over by Walt himself in 1965. Tied to a Family Reunion theme, this year’s festivities included a year-long parade, celebrity appearances, and a 25-hour party on July 17-18.
