Disney synergy reached dizzying heights with the Afternoon Avenue Live promotion of 1991. Intended as a promotion for a block of Disney syndicated TV shows (“The Disney Afternoon”), the event proved wildly popular. Young guests could visit Afternoon Avenue, take a Motorboat Cruise to Gummi Glen, race the Fantasyland Autopia with Chip ’n Dale’s Rescue Rangers, catch the Tale Spin gang in a live stage show, and visit Baloo in his dressing room.
