1988 was set for another big opening, Splash Mountain. Due to technical difficulties, that summer’s debut was postponed until fall… then winter… and finally for the following year! Card #34, therefore, celebrated not an attraction but a parade. Blast to the Past was a celebration of the early years of rock ’n roll, filtered through the dizzying design sensibilities of the 1980s.
