1968 was, perhaps, not a banner year for Disneyland. The projects that had been put in place before Walt Disney’s untimely death in 1966 were (with one vivid exception) finished. For 1968 there were improvements to Guest Parking, the entrance complex, and the PeopleMover in Tomorrowland. These hardly seemed worthy of a Collectors’ Card. They could have featured the popular “Winnie the Pooh for President” promotion that was running that year, but this was not Disneyland-specific, as it was running nationwide. Besides, it was really a promotion in conjunction with Sears, to sell their line of Pooh licensed consumer products. What we got for card 14, at the end, was the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Sure and begorrah!
