Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has made one big step toward’s opening at the Disneyland Resort. On Monday, Magic Key holders were able to begin to experience the attraction. This was done utilizing a virtual queue system and during select hours. Magic Key holders could also pick up a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure poster whether they were able to secure a ride on the new attraction or not.
Friend of Daps Magic, Johnny, was one of the lucky few who were able to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on its opening day. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Magic Key Preview w/ Queue First Day
A close look at the attraction shows many similarities to its Florida counterpart and also some differences. There are plenty of details that show more of Tiana’s story to be found in the queue. There is also an apparent nod to the past inhabitant of this location as well. The attraction itself seems to be a bit more concise, making it feel like there is more to the attraction than the Florida version. This is similar to how Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway also has done away with extra space at Disneyland to make it feel more concise and full than the version of the attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The overall consensus of the opening day Magic Key holders was overwhelmingly positive. Johnny described it as a “fun and lighthearted continuation of Tiana’s storyline that blends perfectly into the Disneyland Resort.” This storyline that can be found in the queue, the land around it, and also on the attraction itself.
Johnny summed up his thoughts on the attraction by saying, “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a phenomenal addition to the Disneyland Resort. It combines the fantastic storytelling Disney is renowned for with the playful whimsy and charm of a classic Disney attraction. As an avid Princess and the Frog fan, it’s heartwarming to see Tiana get her very own attraction.”
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a beautiful new addition to the Disneyland Resort. This will only get more beautiful with the opening of the shops around it and Bayou Country’s arrival as well (it’s still technically Critter Country until November 15th). For now, Magic Key holders and cast members will get to enjoy previews of this attraction until it officially opens to the world on November 15th.
