On this day in 1984, “The First Disney Studio” was dedicated in its new location at the Stanley Ranch Museum in Garden Grove, Calif. The structure was originally a garage belonging to Walt Disney’s uncle Robert. Walt paid $1 per month to rent the space after he moved to Hollywood in 1923.
