On this day in 1954, Ward Kimball’s Dixieland jazz band The Firehouse Five Plus Two appeared on the hit television show, The Milton Berle Show. The band was made up of Disney Studios artists who kept their day jobs and played in the band in the evenings and on weekends for 22 years. [70 years ago in 2024]
