The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Pooh Corner, and parts of Critter Country are once again open at Disneyland. Since initially closing on May 1, many fans have wondered about how the transformation to Bayou Country would impact the Winnie the Pooh offerings in the land. Now, that question has been answered.
There are some differences found in half of Critter Country that is now open. This includes some mostly cosmetic changes that can be found here and there. The major changes can be seen on the progress being made on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. This new attraction is beginning to come to life ahead of its November 15th opening.
Currently, Winnie the Pooh and friends are still meeting in their traditional meet-and-greet locations in the middle of the land. This has not changed significantly in recent months. There is still the possibility that this area could be updated before the land officially becomes Bayou Country.
While Critter Country, Pooh Corner, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh are all now open. The Country Bear Barbecue Jamboree (formerly Hungry Bear Restaurant) is not open yet. Neither are the other shops that are being re-themed to Louis’ Critter Club and Ray’s Berets. An opening date for all three of these establishments has not been announced yet.
On the reopening day, the Daps Magic team stopped by Disneyland to check out the updates for the land. Below are video and photos taken by Mr. Daps and Steven that show the updates to the land.
